Where We Left Us is a short animated story about two former lovers—Nick, a fighter, and Sam, a florist—who once shared a dream that quietly fell apart. Told without dialogue, the film explores how ambition, silence, and distance unravel love over time.
This project was created as a narrative concept, using visual contrast, music, and pacing to express emotional weight. Though the animatic remains rough, the intent is to explore tone, rhythm, and thematic symbolism through visual storytelling.
After years apart, Nick steps into the ring for his biggest fight yet—haunted by fragmented memories of Sam and their lost future. As the rounds progress, so do the flashbacks: quiet moments in the flower shop, the sound of glass breaking, and a Polaroid left behind.
In the final scene, bruised and alone, Nick sits outside the now-abandoned shop—where they left each other, and where a piece of him still lingers.
